About Us

Juliana Sherwood is a serial entrepreneur building businesses in e-learning, FinTech, fashion, manufacturing, and education. She created the first e-learning company in the financial services industry and grew it into an award-winning, multi-million dollar organization. She has been manufacturing globally for 20 years with products sold in 16 countries. She owns two patents, authored 12 education science books, and is the founder and CEO of iSprowt. She has her MBA from Georgetown University.
Peter McLaren is a nationally recognized, award-winning educator and thought leader in science education practice and policy. He has served as a member of the national writing committee for the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), the National Academy of Engineering Guiding Implementation of K-12 Engineering Education committee, the National Academy of Science Committee for Developing Assessments for the Next Generation Science Standards, and President of the Council of State Science Supervisors (CSSS). He was awarded the Milken Family Foundation National Educator Award and Rhode Island Science Teacher of the Year by the MIT-sponsored Network of Educators of Science and Technology. He has a Master of Arts degree in Science Education from the University of Rhode Island.
Berenda Dillon is an award-winning educator specializing in elementary school. She has over 20 years of teaching experience and is recognized for her high impact, engaging teaching methods that prepare young learners for bright futures. Her expertise is in helping students develop the skills they need to achieve their highest potential in school and in life through engaging lessons and hands-on investigations. She has her Masters of Education with an emphasis in Multicultural Learning and Social Emotional Learning from Cal State Dominguez.
Jeff Piontek has over 25 years experience in public education. He is nationally recognized for his leadership in STEM education including by Governor Linda Lingle for Innovation in the Economy. Jeff has sat on the National Governor’s Association STEM committee as well as the State of Hawaii Economic Development Workforce Committee, which he was appointed to by the Governor. Jeff was appointed to the introductory Technology Advisory Board at the National Science Teacher’s Association and is an active member of many other national and international non-profit organizations. He has worked with many at-risk school districts nationally on affecting educational change and reform. He has his PhD in Educational Administration and Supervision and an ABD PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Hawaii.
Kelley Bell is a nationally recognized top educator specializing in STEM, math, academic support, and social emotional learning. She has over 12 years of teaching experience and is recognized for creating and instilling transformative opportunities that help students develop the skills, knowledge, and habits needed to succeed in life, school, and their future careers. She has her Masters of Education from University of New Mexico.
Dr. Dale Hillyer is a renowned school administrator at the elementary, middle and high school levels. He spent 16 years as an elementary school principal, started the first STEAM Academy in Anaheim, CA and is an adjunct professor at University of Southern California. His expertise is in project and problem-based learning that supports both academic and social emotional development growth. He has his Ed.D from USC.
