Using the iSprowt Weather & Natural Disasters kit, students will become a meteorologist and get hands on with seasons and the weather in different hemispheres! Each kit has all the materials for 2 students to complete 6 activities, including:
– Create a model of a tornado vortex
– Discover the science behind seasons and become a meteorologist to forecast weather.
– Use chemistry to build an indoor snowman while learning how satellites track blizzards.
– Build a pinwheel and learn about wind direction and speed.
– Discover what causes a tsunami and build a wave in a bottle.
– Slide and grind tectonic plates together to model transform boundaries and earthquakes. Then make a model of an earthquake resistant structure.
While students work together on activities, they each receive their own 56-page NGSS and ELA aligned workbook. Empower learners with investigations, modeling, and written interpretation.
